Body Work Information - HELP

Can any provide any information on online help, websites etc that can provide step by step information on body work and painting???

Really keen to read up and tryng to get hold of as much information as possible, any online sites or anything else would be fantastic!!!

I have looked without success!!!

Have you looked in any book shops?theres alot of books that give you step by step instructions.

I havent come to that point yet - If i can get it for free first i will, and since its the big wide web, figured that there might be some valuable and reliable material out there, so thats why i thought i would check here first!!!

Yeah see i have found plenty where i can purchase online, but really wanted to find a manual or something of that sort that someone has posted online!!!

It sucks when you cant find something that really should be on the net!!!

hotholdens.com have a couple of good posts on painting a car, with lots of Q&As.

You also have to "ask the right question" to get good results from a search engine.

Sounds like you got a quote on what you wanted done and the reality of what things cost was not what you expected.

Reading about it in a book or on the net is just the starting point.

If you want to do work on your car to help keep the cost down go to a local Tec and do a night class relating to what you need to learn.

They will give you the best available advice and safest way to approach what ever you wish to achieve. and access to great equipment.

Well i knew how much it was going to cost, so there was no reality check, but it is a project build and i want to be doing things to the car myself, otherwise i might as well buy one that someone else has done!!!

I am looking into night school courses, as i met up with a guy who used to be a panel beater by trade and said these were how he started and offered his services for the welding, and also to show me how to do panel work and spraying!!!

So i`m just trying to find out as much information as i can before, just so i have a rough idea on things!!!

Sounds like you are headed down a path that will be life changing for you.
The reward is well worth the effort .
By the way I did a course on panel beating and dropped out whilst making a hub cap - first 4 weeks , and now I am doing it daily

If you do resort to any books Im sure Larry O'Toole will have something on it.

Try your local library im sure they would have
something .My library sorced a original ek holden
car manual for me had it with in a couple of days
from sydney
