FeeBee the Wagon
FeeBee the Wagon
Hello All,
My name is Steve, I am new here. I have recently purchased an FB Special Wagon. My wife and I named her FeeBee. Found your forum and have read alot of tips and stories which come in handy when I was looking at her. I just bought her on the weekend and am expecting her to be delivered this week. I will post some pics when I get some decent shots and work out how to post them up. She will be going straight to the garage for restoration. My plan is a bit of old school and new school together. No doubt I will be calling on you guys and girls wherever I get stuck, and I'll keep the photos coming as I slowly get through the resto.

Re: FeeBee the Wagon
Thanks for the welcomes. Probably will be a long project. Have always wanted to rebuild a car from the ground up, and also hopefully I can enjoy doing this with my Dad and brother. I have never done a resto before, so will be learning on the way
From my first look, Both sills, the floor and parts of the subframe have cancer. The body is pretty good with only one front guard and one rear wheel arch with any real significant rust, the rest is very little spots. All the doors are pretty good, all the chrome and fittings are still with the car, I was very surprised to see it as a complete car. Might find more cancer as i start dis-assembly but that will be priority one....cure the cancer!!!
I also have a lot of extra chrome, and anything else I wont be re-using I will be selling. I will be listing the parts here first before I list them on Evilbay.

Re: FeeBee the Wagon
Heres a little update. Didnt get alot done as I had to build shelves in the shed to store or the parts as I strip her down. Then I spent alot of time going through the spares that came with it and working out what goes where
I did get the windscreen, and the rear windows out, and was very happy that ther wasnt that much rust under the window rubbers.
After I removed 20kgs of dirt and rubbish from the back
My first time to sit in the car! Cant wait to get her on the road
I thought this was cool...I am thinking it is from the factory when the window checker signs it off.

I'm sure the club will be very supportive, if you haven't already been along.
