FB 225 Special sedan boot interior paint scheme **PICS added
Hi all,
has anyone got some good pics of an untouched boot interior. I'm trying to find out where the body paint colour started and finished, especially around the boot hinge and under parcel shelf areas. From what I can some FB's may have been painted different i.e. hinge brackets black on some, and others external body colour matched.
The following pics are from two possibly untouched cars, both FB's, both painted different around the boot hinge supports.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks Tim.
My car is Vic build. The picture of the sedan with the brackets painted was one of Steve Jacksons so I'm assuming it's an untouched NSW build.
Thanks again.

Adelaide were black, you might also note the factory overspray under the parcel shelf....

FB 225 Special sedan bonnet underside colour?
Hi Guys,
I have come across a pic of a stock FB/EK with the underside of the bonnet painted black. Does anyone know of this being a factory thing/option? I thought they were body colour underneath.
Thanks.

I understand you are concerned with only the boot frame support for FB, Craig - but my Melbourne built EK was almost exactly the same as Stewart's FB.
And, just in case you haven't seen my reply to your hood underside colour question - mine was painted body colour from new..
frats,
Rosco

Thanks Rosco,
yep, I read your reply re the under bonnet colour.
Its been an interesting road as far as research goes for this build. After trying to work out what colour the underside of my visor should be I did some more digging and phone calls/etc. After talking with a few likewise infected car nuts yesterday I found out that the mob that used to build all the Lowline canopy's for utes still exists in Melbourne. Apparently they still have all the plans for the old canopies and have just recently built a new one for a customer (not sure what make of car though).
If anyone's interested here's the link to their site.

Thanks Craig,
it would be very interesting to learn if they hold specific details for all FB/EK products they catalogued for our era... it would be further beneficial if access could be gained to view and/or photograph/scan their holdings..
Surely, any such documentation would attract business for them..
