Hey Guys,

It was a nice ute and looks better in photo's than up close as it had the typical American paintjob. All the interior stuff was new, new glass, rubbers, everything. Problem was it was all fitted then masked up to paint leaving paint edges on rubbers, things like that. It just needed a real good tidy up. The bloke who bought it has stripped it down to body off chassis doing a rebuild. He's fitting an injected 454 into it and it now sits on 20 x 10's on the front and 20 x 13's on the back.

Smooth, you are one hard person to please aren't you. I wish I could say your car looked like shit, but I can't, I love it.

I paid 24K for the ute in this conditionfrom a bloke on the Gold Coast, and sold it for close to the same money to a guy in Kingaroy here who also has to many toys.

The speaker pods were in it when I bought it and are a moulded plastic. I've seen them advertised on ebay somewhere in USA. Now that you have said that, they are very close to the shape of the FB/EK kick panels and could probably be cut down to suit. Will look into that.

Cheers
Malcolm W.

This is the last car I got the shits with and sold before I finished it. Everything was done, just needed pulling apart, painting and trim. It was at the stage where I could get in and drive it around the block. It was in storage for 12 months while getting a house built, couldn't work on it so it was gone. That when I bought the Chev ute.

It was a very quick clevo though. I had the motor in an old XC, very very quick, had lots of work done to it.
