Replacing the Guard Rubbers on the Sub Frame
I brought rubber from Clark rubber and it fitted like a glove. The item code number is 10602.

I checked the lenght with the sample off the rusted sub frame and worked from there.

Image

Then checked it for depth

Image

This is what I brought from Clark Rubber, 4 metres of it.

Image

Bit of a trim with the old chicken scissors. (women shouldn't be allowed to use these, there a mans tool)...... :shh:

Image

Checking the cut is right.

Image

Checking it fits against the old one.

Image

Making sure it's the correct lenght

Image

Comparing it with the old one.

Image

After Rusty did a final trim this is what we have.
Almost identical to the old one....

Image

Just to show what it looks like on Milkshake... :loveee:

Funny we go to so much trouble for something probably will never be seen..

I used the Clark rubber stuff too Wayne. It's very durable and won't tear no matter how many times you take the guards off and on. Looking good

A few more of Milkshake from today
Rusty replaced the rear floors and I POR15 them today.
The moulding is almost on as are the tyres and the doors fitted.
You might notice the door handles and locks are also fitted :vecctor:

And she sounds "Just like a GOLF"

Just check out that paint! :glasses:

I've had some people say that they never saw that colour before, so here's a pic of Bondi Beach with an FB in the same colour scheme :whistlinggg:

I hate to state the bleeding obvious , but are you going to paint the dividing panel between the doors white ????
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
