Just asking

Post by plilac »

Just asking, but does anyone out there own a 1961 EK Special sedan with the engine number B244847? I bought this car in 1980 and sold it the following year to a panel beater, who repaired all the rust with patch panels and real steel, resprayed her in original Parisian Lilac/White top, and rebuilt the old girl mechanically. I saw it for sale in Trading Post back in 1993 or so, and I was just wondering if she is still on the road.

The original NSW number plates CNA-881 were on it when I owned it, but it was registered EK-6162 when it was advertised in Trading Post. I recognised the engine number from the ad.

I like to think she is still around, and in the hands of someone who appreciates her.

You could do a plate search on myplates.com to se if its still registerd or ask the least crankiest rego office person for a nod...
Then theres the ID plate and engine number database ,,,, might be worth a scan...

But Wayne might be on to it too .... ya never know!
