Automotive Steel Rim Manufacturer

Post by Coopa »

Does anyone know where I can get a set of steel rims manufactured, would I would like is a set of 15" rims 6 to 7" but with centers like a factory 13" rim so that I can run my standard chrome hub caps :)

You might want to try these guys: http://nealewheels.com.au You'll need deepish pockets, but at least you'll be certain that the offset is correct to suit the new width of the rims and that they're compatible with whatever brake set-up you're using. I guess you've checked for clearance etc? 15" seems pretty big. A 14" rim has about a 15" overall diameter and might be a better choice.

One thing to be wary of is that there are some new 13" steel rims out there to suit early Holdens that won't take the standard hubcaps. You'll have to check this if you buy them as a starting point for the modifications.

I know you used to be able to get the 14" centre into a 15" step down type rim. Not sure about a 13" to 15" though. Try Ajax Wheels in Moorabbin Vic.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
