Harko, is actually a F o r d colour , dont tell anyone , shhh , the base is actually a red colour , the gold pearl over the top , makes it go that orange colour , or any shade between red , gold orange , the more sun you have on it ,you can see through the pearl and get the red base coming through , is very translucent in the sun , totally different colour whether it is in the sun or in the shed .

Have seen the colour you are talking about , after i painted the car , would of been so much easier to paint it something like that , would never do another car with pearl over the top , its like painting the damn thing an extra couple of times all the extra work  , but in the sun its looks good .

Stewart , am starting to relise that :?

I have never been very good at finishing things off  either , all the little fiddly stuff gives me the poop  , built a boat as a project before the ute ,house, shed all the fidily bits not finished

Well got the new house sort of sorted out and now it is time to get back into this damn ute  .

Have had a few nights on it this week ,and a couple of days , cleaning bits up and putting them back on , pulled the grille to pieces and gave it a polish , got all the lights front and back working, except for the tail lights  , must be a problem with the head light switch , will have to pull it out again , and see what is going on .

Starting to run out of wires , so must be winning

Treated the old girl to a carb of her very own as well , as I have had a borrowed one on it .

Front bits all back on .

Wasnt happy where I made the back bumper fit , so have been hacking into that to get it to sit higher up , ready to be dechromed , panel beated and the FC plate surround welded on , and then rechromed .
