I'm with Harko on this one.

The dash itself looks ok but blending it into the sides will look out of place, it will look like a graft.

Unless you have another trick up your sleeve I would say no as well.

yep taking the best looking dash holden ever made out and putting a so so looking dash in just to be custom doesn't seem right to me either, look back at old customs and see just how many of them had FB/EK dashs fitted to them yor car came from the factory with a custom dash
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

 yep im not a fan of the ej eh dash to start with
i always said if i owned a ej eh i would have to do
something with the dash i think its the speedo
that doesnt do it for me

maybe try the ek speedo part of the dash into the ej
dash so dash cluster and top dart of the dash into where the
ej speedo and dash top hope this makes sense

Wow - updates :D
I think the FB/EK dash is the best out of the Holden's (just my opinion)
If it were a vote I'd say no.
But it's not
It's your car, do what you want, blah blah blah

But the head on a plate - freaking hilarious

I am the opposite, I love the EJ/H instrument cluster and I would like to see one in an FB EK dash.

They were the dash of choice for customised FJ's in the 60's / 70's, I'm currently "negotiating" a rolling FJ shell. If I score it it will be customised 60's style and an EK dash will be on the shopping list

Thanks for all the input ,if i run a red engine how could i have a grey dash?
it will take a Lot of work to get it looking right, even modifying the plenum chamber
and blending in the sides etc etc...thats why ive had a practice
the main reason i want to do it is the safety that the ej dash offers over that of an ek one
Im still thinking about it :?
Camira dash

out of an EJ so still a grey dash :ewink: you could upgrade the speedo to the 120mph unit from an EH though (even more customising 8) )

Jase...I love your custom dash idea...very inventive.
For a new slant on what you have in mind , why not do everything you have done so far BUT change the actual gauge facia to a customized mix of EK & EJ..that is to say make a fibreglass mould of both guage faces and use the fit in outter rim of the ej-eh and the inner round dials of the FB-EK.
Alot of work I know..but the finished product would look sensational!! And REALLY keep the punters guessing!.
