you didn't try hard enough
all though most of these scrap guys are knuckle heads and won't take it off
i once scored an EH off a scrap truck for $80 (before scrap values were so high) it had hotty 186, 5 speed, disk brake front, 3.08 limited slip diff, 12 slotters
with near brand new tyres and a couple of good doors

sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

Re: pink fb going to heaven
That was a scrappy called Terry.
He's the guy who gets us our cars to cut up for rescue training at the station.
I had a 'B' bottom end from a supposed 29,000 miler I'd left in the drill yard after getting the head and all the peripheral stuff off and Terry asked another shift who owned 'the old motor' and when they didn't know it was mine they said he could take it for SCRAP ! All I wanted was the f***** crank and now it's half way to China !
I rang him in a shitty and that's when he told me he had scrapped out an EK shell - would have liked the auto floor
He said he owes me one but I doubt I'll get another crank like that one so easily - served me right for leaving it I guess.
That's life !
