Post by Nekro63 »

Anyone bought one of the tailgate skins on eBay?!? Some for 99 bucks and then there's the rare spares ones for 300....

Which ones are the best?

The problem with all the skins is they are straight along the edge as oppossed to the originals which have a slight curve.
To get the curve back in I pie cut the skin every 50mm.
I thought later I may have.been able to do it with shrinker but as yet I havent had to do another one exept my own but I unpicked the orignial skin and repaired it.
Also check the height as the last one I did I had to shorten by 10mm

Alright thanks for the reply, which one in particular did you buy?? I'll be getting one of my panel beater mates to do it for me but I might have a go at pulling the old one off

I got it from a guy off ebay in qld. Ive seen the others. They are all the same. If you can unpick the old one without wrecking it I would try and save the original. Nine times out of ten you have to fix the frame anyway.
