Thanks Trev. I think I was clogging up the wrong section with my Waffles! I also have to be carefull about broadcasting things like our mishap with the Beagles, Willy Nilly, all over the forum I guess, because, you never know who knows who, and it was some pretty serious stuff, as Scotty and I have suggested already. Suffice it to say, we approached these guys with gusto, only to turn and run when we realised that the older ones were more than we could handle. Sputzwagen Scotty got all his windows in his EJ smashed for his trouble, then on the return trip to pick up the stricken EJ, we copped a waterpipe through the windscreen of my Zephyr, which took a nice chunk out of Scottys forehead, which made him look quite scary really. I sold the Zephyr to a big guy who promised he would fix it up, but months later I found the bare shell at Blaxland Tip with marks on the roof from a crane.
I really loved that Zephyr. It had a motor out of rusty MK3 Zodiac that I bought for $70 not far from Petes place, and it had "Bathtub Baby" painted on the back for some reason.
Iwill work out how to do a smiley face soon, and Tim Sunny will maybe take some photos of my photos (maybe Pete.....)

Scotty Iv'e taken the morning off to go and register our old caravan. Theproblem is I have a phobia of Qld Tranport. I'd rather be at work, popping rivets and putting in windows etc.
Hope all you guys are well.

Should rego it in NSW..it's easier than up there (not to re-rego that is) as you folk don't need yearly inspections as we do..but at least we know yearly if things need doing...and are forced to do so!

Things are OK down this way Mate..Just make sure next time you're on the phone to Pete & Kim, make sure you talk to Kim in a South African accent..she'll be impressed!... (maybe) :wtf:

Had the morning off, went to QT Kessels Road, forgot one form and panicked, thinking I had to go back to Rathdownie. Rang Fi. She said lay out all the forms on the floor and tell me what you have. Turned out I had all I needed. Went to QTMR Greenslopes, no problems. Back to work by 12.00. Driving FB up to the Pub tonight (Trivia). After driving VR Wagon today FB feels good again, even with crap new gearbox. Tim, I really like all pre crossflow falcon engines, especially 170s +221s but they just WON'T do good backfires when you turn the key off, then back on again, eh Pete. Not like an EJ! eh Pete!!

Hey Pete and Scotty. You both have trouble with EJ mufflers blowing off! When I drive EJs, they just fall off (On Yarramundi Bridge) but I just slam whats left in the back door and carry on my way! Hey Deadsled. Gday! It was me the other night at Kosmos, and a while ago, coming out of Hobbyone on Creek Road in Fi's lilac EK. You had a HJ I think, and I was the "Older Guy" etc. No harm done. I think I am the older guy! Asfar as sunvisors go, they are good for Kenworths and Mexican Los Bombas, but not for little old me! Cheers Guys.

Hey Stuart Parisian62. I finally read your story on Old Timer EK wagon last night while also watching telly. What a great story with agreat outcome. The work you guys have done in your back yard (front yard?) makes the welding and painting I did on Fi's Lilac sedan (NONO62) seem pretty easy stuff. In your story, I also felt the thrill when you found that wagon again. FB/EK Qld are going on a run today to the Tram Museum (Working trams) after lunch. I want to put a new accelerator pump plunger in Fi's car this morning. Her car still goes like a Ferarri compared to mine at this stage, so mine can stay at home. Cheers mate. All you guys and girls, have a good day.

Dave (bootlegger) Pagano did a good job on Stewart's Wagon (although even Dave said that he pushed Stewart to breaking point!!  )...I can't wait to see it on the road.
The reason Fi's EK goes like a Ferrari is because it's probably the most expensive Grey motor you both own!! Remember I had to falk out $1500 (in 1999 dollars  ) for that particular re-built Grey...and it's proved to be worth every cent.
