Repro plastic lenses

Post by Old School »

I noticed someone posted in another thread that they would like number plate plastic lenses reproduced or something like that

Well good news fellow enthusiasts, this plus many more other lenses can be reproduced including interior light lenses, automatic shifter lenses with the P R N D markings all in place, tail light lenses you name it
If it's made of plastic we can have them made

I have organised to have various lenses made for other clubs i have been part of over the years, i even organised to have some lenses repro'd for a club over in the USA

The only requirement needed is that we need at least 10-15 people, preferably 20 who will commit to buy whatever is made - THAT'S ALL!!!

So now i'm going to leave it to you guys to debate on what you would like to have made first :P

To give you an idea of quality, the company in question makes a mould from the GENUINE piece of whatever is made and then recreates this piece so they look EXACTLY the same as your original piece but BRAND NEW!!!

I no longer live in Sydney so if anyone on here lives near Camden and is willing to take the time to take original pieces down to company and to organise payments and shipping etc i'm sure the rest of the guys on here would be more than appreciative :D

The Victorian club is also in discussion at the moment to have other reproduction parts made. So if everyone will be a bit patient we will have so news soon.

Before commiting to getting anything made i'm going to wait to hear from FB-EK club of Vic to see what they come up with as i don't want to step on anyones toes especially as i only signed up not even 48hrs ago lol

If there is something that they are not going to get made then we can look at getting these made seperately

On your questions of getting something made though, these guys can make anything as long as numbers are there to meet minimum requirements

I can't see the FB-EK Club getting custom 1 off parts made for our cars as the market would be too small for these so on that note i think something like this could be done without upsetting the club and there current negotiations with there suppliers

So on that note we need to find out how many people would be interested in this custom part, also need to find someone respectable off forums that everyone trusts here to do the negotiations with manufacturer and organise payments and shipping of this product

I would offer to do this but as i no longer live in Sydney it would be much easier to find someone who is close by to camden/campbelltown area to do this as you will need to take down prototype of lense to be made for mould to be taken off and oversee the production to make sure the right format is etched into lense etc

So now i leave it in your capable hands to organise this and i will supply all relevant information to the party that you choose to oversee this project

I'll start the ball rolling on this one.

Put my name down for 2 or 3 Trimatic to EK auto shift indicator lenses please.
