Im keen to know if its possible to run a rear windscreen rubber without the stainless that locks in .
Or even better to buy a rubber without the stainless slot.

Yep - they just started remanufacturing the standard rear screen - look at Rares website .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

cheers Blacky.
I always thought standard was just the painted trim instead of stainless .
$196 at rare spares .
can someone confirm its a rubber without the slit for trim ,rares show two rubbers for the rear screen but theres no description or close up

Id be ringing rares and asking the guy at the other end if he has one he can physically touch sitting in front of him.

Just cos their website shows its available doesnt always mean that it is.

Good luck in your quest.

My standard rear window is just rubber with no trim or slot........in fact i'll probably cut the ridge off my new stainless to get it to fit over the existing rubber....

Oddly the front screen has painted steel surround, but the back doesn't.
