Fingers,

It's been a while since I bolted on my subframe, but from memory (adimttefly blurry  ) the "inside" bolts are not normal - the ends of them look like self-tapping tec-screws. Are you using "normal" bolts?

Cheers,
Harv.

G'day Fingers,

Did you managed to scavenge a couple of the special bolts? If not I'll have a dig through the bolt department when I get home Monday and see if I can find some. The old boy used to call them "lead bolts" (pronounced leeed bolts).

Cheers,
Harv.

Got the subframe bolted this morning and extended the twirler to include the subframe ...doing this work on the rottisserie makes life so much easier ,you can get to any part of the car for welding ,fabrication work ,grinding ,painting its going to be a breeze getting the engine and transmission fitted in the next few weeks :D :D :D ..i will do some hotos next week of my twirller I bought from a hot rod guy in Drouin . He made it himself and its got wheels and a tow hitch and is fully adjustable for length longer enough to do anything from a caddy to a gogomobile ...The panel Guy finished welding the underneath of the floors , the transmission tunnel and the new strengthening outer chassiss rails are now fully welded just the inner ones to do but first got to get the engine mounts ready to fit up the dummy motor and gearbox , fabricate the rear gearbox mounts and the tailshaft loop and bolt them to the inner chassis rail ......Did some more grinding today....Mmmm....did I say at any stage..'' WEAR GL0VES when grinding ''If I didnt well I,m telling ya now WEAR GLOVES while grinding ......nearly ground off another finger and I dont have too many left ........  ... got 10 days off over Easter so should get plenty done ....no more this weekend got the Drouin Swap Meet tommorrow ...Fingers

Good stuff Bill,

I've seen those plastic engines before but didn't know they came with gearboxes as well.

Front end looks good as well.
