Starting to piece up the hr front end, gearbox will be a turbo 350(fully manulised)3:55 F##d 9 ",leaf spring rear end & for the pony at front, either a 307 or 327,depending on how big I can legally go.The bigger ci,the bigger hp,waiting on engineer to confirm...
Will post more pics when more gets done...
The 327 is a great engine...... if ya can find one......sorta like the 186's of the Holden years.
Short stroke, fast revving little jiggas after all, don't need no high torque big block to push an EK around!
Can't wait to see the updates........gonna be a ride when she's finished.
All the best......Bob.

Thanks Steve, great to be on the forum.
Hopefully we will meet face to face in the near future once my wagon is finished...(June or July if all goes to plan)
John
Thanks Guys for your comments,
Just been sorting out bits & pieces for the hr front end(not much is left of the original front end)almost all parts are brand new,but coming along nicely.
Waiting on the F#*d 9" to come back, leaf springs have been redone(almost straight).
Will keep you posted ASAP.I`m starting to get excited, seeing all the parts coming in,can`t wait!!!
John
Here`s a few update pics...
HR front end is getting there, just waiting on 2"dropped stub axles, the P76/HQ brake combo can be fitted on,then the R&P steering.
Rear wheel arches have been welded into place nice & high so I can have the car to sit nice & low.
F#*d 9" should be ready to fit in next week.
All going to plan so far.....

hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions. I have the same setup with my front end , 2inch drop spindles , hq rotors and calipers , pat gardner rear r&P ,but I am having trouble with tyres scrubbing . What steering arms are you going to use ? Pat Gardner said with his rack you should use HR steering arms and you can use up to 15 mm spacers to clear the tie rod end from the tyre, and with the P76 rotors how close will the lower control arm be to the rim /tyre ?,they bring the track in 16mm each side . I assume you are using HQ rims.
*Thanks SCOOBB,I can`t wait to see this thing finished, but as you would know,-TIME & MONEY...Your car is AWESOME,looks like your just about there...
*ek amigo, can`t really answer your questions until the front end is complete & fitted. They tell me that the P76 rotor is set in so it gives me more turning room for my tyres as I want it to sit low.I`m still deciding what R&P to use.Crossing my fingers, hoping nothing scrubs when fitted...
My mate thats doing alot of the fabrication on the car spoke to the engineer & said it is all good for rego. The wheel arches are very mild, more high than wide, just to get the car as low as possible, still remains as leaf spring, not 4 link.Hope his right because I want a street car,not just a drag car.I don`t really want to get into rego/engineer stuff as I`m not dealing with the engineer,my mate is & I will leave it as that...Enjoy the build fellas
