Don't know if anyone's seen the May copy of Street Machine, but there's a bloody helpful article on how to (legally) remove the door handles from your car and replace them with buttons.
The guy who wrote the piece has got some MAD vehicles that he's created - from a 2-door FC coupé to a chopped FB Wagon:

Grilles on FBs and EKs
Hey there Cameron -
I think most folks simply get creative with whatever it is that they want to make fit into the space that was occupied by their original grille.
Be it from a Desoto, FJ, or a simple removal of an FB/EK's vertical bars and re-working the horizontals, I think it's more a matter of what you want the grille to look like when you're finished rather than being limited by anything else.
Talk to that Reidy character - he should have something to offer in that department.
