And this here is my other one to do after the EK is done.Early sixties Front Engined Rail which has been powered by a slant 6, a red 6, a flatty, a SBC and a big block &*#@. Currenlty acting as an enginge stand for a flatty.

The shot of the rail and roadster was unfortunately my old shed, the new one doesn't have as much character, yet..

As for the EK candy red roof, white body and a bit of a mild custom. Red motor, trimatic all through the factory column, I'm going for the subtle look

Some things may only be obvious to EK owners.

Hmmm "Green's Nice" ,the A may be basic but it does have the "LOOK".
The FED Rail would be a blast. Will it be ready for the nostalgia drags?
Judging by the A the EK will be Special.

Unfortunately the rail will only ever be a display vehicle. I'm not willing to modify it to meet the "newstalgia " drag classes. It will loose its heritage if I try to set it up to race. Not too mention they aren't really all that nostalgic as they are allowing upto mid 80's American Cars  :? to race and the only flathead class is full competition or you are lumped in with everything else in DYO....

I could go on but I have had my say elsewhere and the promoters were not impressed. Lets just say its not my idea of Nostalgia....

I know where you are coming from.A friend has an origional FED rail with a blown red motor. For him to run he has to buy a full fire suit, fit a central extinguisher system, fit disc brakes to the front wheels etc, etc. The rail used to race as is now it is used for displays only.It was dug out for the Burswood and created a lot of intrest,it still has the origional paint.
As long as you are having fun thats all that counts.
