I want to use 185 14 60 tyers on hq rims on the front of my ek which I have under the front, today I was playing with the back wheels which, I am wanting to use 14 195 60 series on 14 inch tonner rims under the back.
Today I noticed the back wheel is bigger in diameter. Does this matter or should I reduce the back to the same size as the front? At this point its going to use the orginal ek steering box whats the thoughts on how that will go.
14 inch wheels
Re: 14 inch wheels
Stevo, in theory, the difference in diameter should only be 6mm. As long as you run the same tyre each side of each axle, I dont see a problem (other than possibly legality, but if you're talking standard HQ rims which are only 5" then AFAIK they're legal).
Have a think about your spare, though; it's not good for the diff to run substantially different diameters each side for any distance if you have to change a rear wheel...
I've been running 185/70-14 front and 215/70-14 rears for some time with no apparent problems (the difference in diameter in theory here is about 21mm...)
I assume you are running HQ stud pattern front and rear, because HQ is different to FE-HG and wont fit a stock FB/EK.
Depending on what modifications you've made, offsets may be an issue and should be checked before you lay out any serious cash for rims/tyres.
cheers, jack

Stevo, I'm showing my age where I said 'diameter' in the previous post, I meant radius, sorry...
(doesn't change anything though; I still think what you want to do is not a problem)
