Radiator. New or recore?

Radiator. New or recore?

Hey all

Ill be fitting a new motor (132) to my EJ soon and have found that the radiator fins are pretty rotted and there is a fair amount of crap in there.
I haven't had any cooling issues with my existing motor but want to make sure everything is schmick while im on the job.

My local rad guys quoted $400 to recore... :?
Is this a decent price or would I do better buying a replacement? (haven't had much luck finding one)

Pretty sure any radiator joint will have to use your old one to re-core.
$400 seems a bit steep, I had mine re-cored with a triple core for use with a red motor and paid $275.

What Trev said, I did similar to Trev a year back, cost me $300.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Yeah $400 sounded ridiculous to me as well, that's Armidale for you though.. :(
