Post by Benny »

Hey Guys,

Just bought my first Holden...check out the pics...I am no stranger to old cars but can you believe I am selling an 06 Cooper S for this baby..anyway i'll post some more pics as soon as I start doing some work on her...

Also I already have some plates that I might chuck on her, so if anyone is interested in the current one's let me know.

Hey Guys, thanks for the replies....

Well I work for the surf company Mambo and believe it or not this is going to sorta be a company car.

So the artists here are working on concepts...i'll post some up when they are done, but it will pretty much be a Mambo surf-rat. She is even going to be featuring in the photo shoot today for the Mambo US launch.

We have done this before but with a newer Holden, we just couldn't find any new Holdens that screamed Australian Surf Heritage....

Here is the one we did back in 2000:

The link to the Holden website is: http://www.holden.com.au/concept-cars/s ... panel-van-

Hey Welcome Benny, nice upgrade. Will it get sent down here to Vic for paint as I know the guy who painted the Bommodore van!

Be interesting to see what they come up with.

Mini you can always just type "like" if you feel lost being outside of Facebook
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Welcome to the Forum Benny. Looking forward to the build and pics of this one for sure.
we just couldn't find any new Holdens that screamed Australian Surf Heritage....
You've found one now... 8) FB and EKS are ingrained in Aussie surf culture.

The photo of The Farm with the FB wagon by Jack Eden springs to mind. You'll have to scroll down a bit...http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... 1&start=30

Oh and x3 on the t-shirts plus the poster with the EK...

regards
Stewart

Welcome to the site Ben!
Good to see that fins and chrome have won over any silly notions you had of driving around in an '06 Mini
Looks like a cool wagon (biased!) and I wish you many happy miles in it.
Oh yeah.........don't think that something is wrong if every second person on the road waves or points at you............it's just one of the strange little things you'll get used to driving a classic
Can't wait to see the Mambo version, ice cubes kool 8)

All the best............Bob.
