G,day Greg ,thanks but still got a way to go yet :(

Bushes haven't turned up yet , will probably be one of the bits that put a spanner in the works , wont need them for a couple of weeks yet though .

Rain buggered up my work plans today so I got another couple of hours on the Ute this arvo , got her back down off the spit and on to the ground .

Hoping to get the front clip back on this week and get it ready to paint by the weekend.

Think I over done the tubs ,now that they are finished and welded to the outside edge , the 235 tyres are lost under there , have 50mm either side of the tyres clearance , need some big arse tyres .

Would love some bigger wheels Shme , but the budget is almost gone  , they will have to wait awhile .

Has been bloody cold down here this week so have to give up on my goal of getting the engine bay painted , cant get spot putty to dry and its been to cold in the shed of a night ,(sook ,sook) been giving it away early , have to put my heater back in .

But got a couple more parts of the jigsaw done :D

Hey Rusty, niiiiice work.

What blows me away with the builds on this site, is that there is a huge ammount of work with photos and posts to let the eager followers know what is happening.

I have just finished my ute (a few minor details to sort over the next few weeks) and had it ready for my wedding in February and now have had some time to check out the latest projects.

Great work!

My welders get a good work out , they are used and abused everyday .

G,day Molly , there is a wealth of info on here , is great for people tying to fix up their own cars , nearly everything has been covered with photos to show you how its done , its great.

G,day All
The weather has gone back to normal down here this week :D and with Today's forecast for 5 knot winds and 18 degrees , I decided to have a RDO
and to get some paint on the front end of the Ute .

Was a perfect day , not even a breeze , here is the results .

Thanks Guys :D yep 2 pack , first time painting 2 pac , and first time with pearl , has taken some getting use too .

All this measuring paint out in millilitres and weighing pearl in grams sucks ,done quite a few sample panels trying to get the right amount of pearl to put in per litre .

Had real trouble getting the pearl even at the start , but I think I have just about sussed it , gets better every time now , so I am hoping by the time I get to the outside of the car I will know what I am doing

Stygian ,Was so close to scraping this thing when I first pulled it apart and found out how bad it was , glad I didn't , but it has taken a few hours out of my life to get it back to being a car :? A bit more Botox on the old girl and she will be good
