the body identification tag says BODY NZ EK 225 TRIM 7586 I bought it from a guy in Auckland ,he said got it from Napier where it had been sitting in a shed for 30 years, had 60,000 on the clock. It had a few bits of rust in the body and front guards but the 4 doors, bonnet and boot were simply blasted and painted. there is no bodyfilla in the car at all.

Thought I should update things. The car is coming along well ,we have managed to squeeze in the toyota v8 and auto , we did this by altering the crossmember and making some room in the engine bay for exhausts, the engine is untouched except for removal of power steer and aircon compressor. It has been pretty painless really we were quite surprised how easily it all came together. the standard toyota auto works well with the hurst shifter with just a minor change to the selector lever. the exhaust is the biggest problem, because the engine is so big we had to make some room on each side of the engine bay and fabricate some headers from scratch ,not real bad just fiddly . Love your work Amigo , we had one of those donks in a Hilux - they are a good thing.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
