Post by MattO »

Gettin my wagon ready for the Nat's and Ill need to put in an anchor point for a child seat.
Has anyone got photo's or an idea of where to mount it, I don't realy want to put it through the floor in the back.

I put mine through the floor but you can get a barn that goes across the back at seat height, to me through the floor is allot neater.

Does it restrict the luggage space on the floor?

Not really, I put the anchor points in the bar closest to the back seat.

Sounds the way to go, I didn't want to put a hole in the original vinly on the floor but a bar would just look shit.

And take up more room than a couple of straps going to the floor.
I can get a pic tomorrow if you like.

matto.. not long ago had to do the same with mine...
i took mine to a registered child seat fit joint to get fittings etc to put in same point as trev...
they pointed out to me that if your anchoring to the floor... then all of the prospective force if you have a prang come back to the hinges holding the back of the seat up..
so.... you can put all the hardware in the floor you like.. but your kids life sits on the ability of those hinges to stay shut... and not letting the back of the seat collapse...
i put my anchor points in bar above the back window... see pic below... inserted a small plate to reinforce... stu 8)

Did you end up doing it your self or did you get the fitting place to do it?
To access the bar above the window do you just remove the hinges?
