How do you keep the 'flake suspended in the paint ? just by shaking the gun after each pass ? I have tried but it keeps sinking and the job ends up blotchy
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I put a dozen new 3/8 nuts on the pot.
And you keep shaking the gun up before each pass.
It keeps the flake in suspension. No different to a pre mixed spray can you buy.
Have read about the dry aplication method, and would like to give it a try. But their could be a lot of lost material.
Different people have their own methods, and as long as it comes out with the look you are after. Thats all that matters.
My mate who painted my EK roof uses ball bearings to help keep the flake moving, swirling it before each pass. Which basically has the same effect as Pauls method.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Is THAT what you're 'sposed to do???
I've been doing it all wrong all these years...I block the nozzle off with my finger after every pass and "reverse blow" through the pot to mix it!! DUUURRRRR
Scotty.
