Colour advice - two tone burgundy/maroon over cream

Im wondering if anyone has an idea of cream roof and maroon bottom in relation to paint selection/choice.

I think vl commodore venetian red would look good on bottom (main body of car) with campus cream on top.

does anyone have links or pics to give me some ideas pls.

also, is it best to stick to acrylic paint for old cars or go 2 pacs. im in country so chipping may be an issue when a##holes fly past on dirt verges out here in the bush!
