Page 15 has a couple of finished pics of the van.

The bumpers still look good with 3 bolts in there and plenty of people run them that way. Maybe your mate is just "FE/FC phobic"

Well its not quite as nice as the one Nos posted but i found a rear bumper and got it on there. I'm wrapped with the improvement (in my opinion anyway), just have to tidy up the bolt holes and the spare wheel door of course. Here's the before and after.....

Really? What's a set of average bumperettes worth? One with a split.

Sorry to get your hopes up  , It does come down to condition, 100% ones will get a couple of hundred (seen it on ebay).

Thought it would be the case,
Whilst on the pricing topic, what about a pair of those chrome corner trim bits for an external sun visor? Seems to be a hot item in the wanted section

The real test of what they're worth is either eBay or more to the point how desperately does someone need them...

I've got no idea.

Ute looks good. Keep chipping away at it, slowly slowly. What's the final aim?

Yeah i know what you mean, DR. I havn't decided if i want to put the visors bits on, but if someone has the bits i need i'd consider swapping.
Not sure how far i'll go with the ute yet either. At the moment i just want to get it running smooth and reliable as its a daily driver, meaning rear main, clutch, change diff ratio and generally just make sure everything works as it should. But also would like to start doing some small things to the grey such as Pertronix Ignitor kit, get the extractors on/exhaust, twins carbs- just get as much as i can out of it without throwing too much money away.
Would like to eventually upgrade to a bigger motor but that's a bit beyond me at this stage.

Sounds good. But you don't have to throw alot of money at them for them to look good. I only put 5 gees into mine but 4 years of my time. Just keep doing all the small things and gradually before you know it you'll be doing an engine swap and more. Its a fun learning curve and there's always someone online to help! Or just round the corner

It is looking great now, I would get the thing running rite before worrying about the grill, you have to enjoy driving it to keep the enthusiasm going  . Then get the cosmetic stuff done :D .

Thanks Trev, and yeah you're right.
There's the 'should' do things and the 'i'm too impatient and just want to do something NOW' things.
Despite me knowing which order they need to happen in, the 'impatient now' things seem to steal my attention because the 'should' ones usually require a hoist.
