thanks everyone for their comments - they're all on the money
- some times it definitely was - I think the worst for me was after a 4 hour stint under the car in a space about 2 foot high grinding back all the welds under the floor - everytime I thought I'd finished I found something else - then ended up at the eye specialist getting a piece of metal out of my eye. That looks painstaking

Aaahh the memories, I had a similar experience. While grinding under the car a bit got in behind my safety glasses so off to the doctors who failed to get it out followed by casualty where they succeded.parisian62 wrote:thanks everyone for their comments - they're all on the money

glad to hear that DR no eyesight = no drive
Back in October I had another trip to the blasters - Austec Dry Stripping at Chipping Norton. Great job. All the original hanging panels and a few other bits.
original glove box
spare...you'll see why down the line...this one came from the wreck of Revesby...http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... 11...those tiny screws holding the hinge on were a battle but I won in the end
A ring in tailgate - the original one was just toooo faaaaar gooooone!

Back from the blasters...all covered in Henkel paintgrip to keep rust at bay until priming.
