That'd certainly be a UNIQUE couch!

We're actually planning on listing it on eBay for $5K in the hopes that someone might be able to use ALL of the parts on it, or (god knows it'd take 'em YEARS of weekends) actually bring it back to life...

I drove it around this arvo, and BOY is it a go-hard car when driven as a manual! (The black one was pushbutton auto)

Did you know that about 200 of your Valiants like that, were assembled in South Africa. They sold so well over there that the factory couldn't keep up with the demand, so we shipped a batch of them. When I read about that I wondered if they had South African assembly ID tags from Elsies River plant in Cape Town or did they get an Australian ID tag. I wonder if it is possible to tell is it was one of ours. We got a wider range than you got including the Dodge lancer and the DeSoto. Same bodies but with different front and back ends. I can remember a super clean one years ago and a few others including the scrap ones. I have a bootlid hanging on my wall that came off a nice shell (could have put the black one together if you'd had that shell!).
A while ago I mucked around with these two variations that might interest you. You will probably recognise the roof shape of the green one, I'm sure.
