How about we all cut the F&$king BS!
IF JAZZAR WANTS TO TURBO HIS GREY MOTOR-
LET HIM TRY IT! regardless of his experience, cash etc.

Seems every individual idea on here is ending up in an argument lately.
I don't like a particular idea on wheel choice, so I stay out of the thread now.

I know some of you guys are just trying to help keep him from wasting a bucket of money on something that may or may not work-but its his car, his motor, his money, his idea.

Some people probably don't like my ideas, I don't like some other peoples ideas, but all we have to do is say we don't like the idea and thats the end of it.
I like a good debate about why an idea will and will not work, but it just seems that everyone gets into 'i know all this blah blah blah' and 'you don't know anything blah blah blah'
State facts and have an intelligent argument without the friggin insults. (yes i know alot of points have stated facts, but still too much of the chest beating)

Off the soap box now

im not chest beating im just proving a point to someone that made a smart ass comment about bullshit excuses, anyone can get on here and crap on, im putting up proof of my knowledge . putting my money where my mouth is so to speak. im so sick of know it all keyboard warriors with no proof of what they say they know or do but still hand out advice. like i said im not telling jazzar what he can or cant do with his car, its advice from experience simple as that, its up to him from there. if he wants to beat his head against a brick wall he can go for it. simple.

or maybe i should say yeah jazzar do it it will make good hp and hang together sweet, yeah righto? gee that would be good advice

no chest beating just facts. thats all.
a smart man listens to everyone a only a fool listens to no one.
im done on this.

Show me where I said you were full of bullshit?
Yeh you have built some impressive stuff, it is your job!
This is just a hobby to me, and I've wasted lots of money making mistakes on cars because I had a go and have learned my lesson with age.
You've trumped me with the few cars that you just posted, so what  , Trev 8) .

trev if you dont want conflict then dont make smart ass comments, simple.
oh and about judging what you know, i can only do that based on what you say on here, which has drawn me to the conclusion that you dont know that much by the advice you are giving out, please prove me wrong? like i said show me proof of your knowledge?

i dont see anything bad about trying to help someone to not make a bad choice if they dont know!

please tell me where i told him he has to do what i say, and what bad advice did i give him?

why do you have a problem with this?

im now done, unless you want to keep going, then bring it on.
lets move on

Good work HP

10sec pass in a 308 is impressive let alone the rest...

I hate to be a downer jazzar but it all seems a little too hectic. Spend the money on your wrx ( I think you said you have one ) and have one fast car and one cool car.

I have recieved a PM and have been asked to cease being honest.

So, Trev and Jazzar my apologies, and Jazzar you should go ahead with your idea, what would anyone on this forum know?

HPaddict, kudos to you m8, but leave the kid alone. I would also suggest parents stop holding their childrens hands when crossing the road and let them run with siccors.

I want to live in a world where all opinions are met with wonderment and are never subjected to logical argument either for or against as this gets in the way of the dreams and wishes of those with the opinion.

I want to live in a world where everybody just agrees with me because I think I'm Ace and people always tell me how ACE I am.

What a great world that would be, without the likes of me and HPaddict and Blackie raining on parades with honest appraisals.

Let people flush their money down the toilet, be lead down the garden path and live their entire lives looking through rose coloured glasses.

Thankyou so much for the PM, I have seen the error of my ways and from here on out I will no longer be honest, or offer advice that may lead to someone changing their mind for their own good.

To this end I have changed my plans for my project car. I now plan on giving it gullwing doors, fitting a VH charger front end with a &*#@ FG GT 317kw engine (mid-mounted off course) mated to a Porche G60 transaxle with a transfer case out of an Pajero (Won the Paris dakar I don't know how many times so the transfer case must be strong) with a front diff out of an ML Mercedes.

How good will this car be?

Don't be honest however you might just hurt my feelings.

wow im sorry people for causing a argument, I didn't mean it to go like this. I just thought it would be somthing you don't see eveyday.

Don't apologize Jazzar,

Argument is good and healthy, it leads to clarity and enlightenment.

All anyone has told you here is simply don't bight off more than you can chew.

If you were closer to where I am I would be more than happy to give you a hand, I am sure others on here would do that as well.

If you ask for help, you will probably get it.

And besides, building a stock grey will be a big enough challenge for you right now. Turbo the next one.

Cheers

Hey Jarrod, no need to apologise as you didn't start it. It was some passionately held, but well meaning, opinions concerning your proposed build which led to other opinions being expressed which caused the conflict.

I hope you stick around the forum and get the chance to learn as much as you can. You can never stop learning - I've had my EK for 11 years yet only joined the forum 6 months ago and have learnt so much since then.

I think your decision to go with a stock grey is a wise one for the time being. Perhaps speak to some vintage speedway guys about hotting up greys and learn as much as you can first.

Andrew :)

yeah the only motor i have built would be my motorbike motor. And that wasn't a easy task either.

But i have turboed a mower last year for my mate, lasted for 6 months before it blew the piston out of the side of the block. lol

I was nearlly going to snap up that double intake manifold for $120PP, But missed out cause i had work today.

But i think i would be more then happy with simple things done to the motor.

but if anyone has double intake manifold please PM lol

Cheers
