Front seat options

Post by mag600 »

Just wondering if anyone has done an EH or EJ front seat into an Ek or if they even fit. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before. Did a search but couldn't find anything.

I'm looking at a few cars at the moment that all seem to have had bucket conversions done because of 5-spd boxes.

Probably be looking at an RA Rodeo seat with a cut out otherwise to suit a 5-spd floor shift.

Unless someone's got an EK front bench in good nick at a good price. Not too concerned about trim condition seeing as I'll be getting it cut anyway.

My other issue will be getting the Ek/EH over the tunnel too so I may be left with the rodeo as the only option. Anything is better than buckets!

Anyway, starting to ramble now.

Cheers.

Hey hope this isn't too late but I scored a brougham bench seat which has the centre part that comes in and a fold down arm rest/seat which fitted in. The only alteration i had to make on the seat was the sides up the top i had to hit in a little to fit it and it makes a very snug fit in the ute. I also have a 5 speed and it clears quiet ok and looks good..just some food for thought..
