Re: 3 spd crash box types

There is one significant difference between a FX FJ gearbox casing and the later FE to EK casing which has been missed here.
The FE introduced the hydraulic clutch and the mounting face for the slave cylinder is machined on FE to EK gearboxes. FX and FJ gearboxes have a rough cast finish here which ...

Re: seat surrounds

Open the rear door and have a look down at the seat riser. These pieces hide the seat riser from rear seat passengers. The curved section goes under the main seat surround and you should find a small hole where the 3rd screw goes in.

Re: brake boosters

You can achieve the same result by changing the master cylinder bore size or by changing the pedal ratio. It is all about fluid pressure.

Here you go - you need the outer rim to make them worth anything - It is a very thin dish shaped rim

Re: HQ drop spindles on HR front

Long answer - the 290 rotors (this is the Hoppers Stoppers kit I assume you are refering to) will fit on the drop spindles but I think the caliper adaptor brackets for the drop spindles are different to the ones for HR disc stub axles.

Re: brake boosters

As you know a booster uses a vaccuum/atmospheric pressure differential to multiply the pressure applied to the piston in the mater cylinder - thus providing more force on the brakes. A dual diapragm booster simply does this twice. The advantage of a dual unit is that you can get the same level of ...

Re: KIEWA GREY EK VAN

Why not collect ID plates? people collect all sorts of things. I don't have the room or the money to collect cars, but I like memorabilia and oddities that go with cars. I like matchboxes with Holdens on them, I lke coasters with Holdens on them and I like ID plates. :D
