I know it's an EK motor, but I'm trying to ascertain what month/year it was built.
The FE-FC site has a list of FE-FC numbers with that info, but not for FB-EK.
Can anybody help, or point me in the right direction?

Hi All,
I have just sourced a motor to recondition and fit into my (presently motorless) EK ute.
Engine number is B274539, which I am fairly sure is an EK motor, as I have read somewhere that EK numbers start at B175814.
Has anybody got a list of grey motors showing which numbers were manufactured ...

If you look at the first pic of the carbies you can sort of see the lump bits i'm talking about. There's one directly under each carb on the underside of the manifold. Why they are there has got me stumped but it looks like i'll be able to grind a fair bit off and still maintain the same thickness ...
