Re: Jerky driving, "juddery" takeoffs etc.

Yeah flywheel machined and in perfect condition.
I've had the inspection plate off and can't see any oil, certainly no leaks.

Engine mounts are also new.

Jerky driving, "juddery" takeoffs etc.

Hey all,

My latest woe is driveline related and it makes the car very unpleasant to drive.
It is most pronounced when cold.

To start with the clutch judders when taking off, unless an inordinate amount of slip is used.
Secondly when off the throttle, approaching an intersection, or at slow speeds ...

Fuel pump rebuild kit

Hey all,

Does anyone know if kits are made to rebuild the stock fuel pump?
I am currently running one of these repco asian made pumps and would like to go back to the stocker.

Installing front handbrake cable??

Hey all,

I'm trying to install a front handbrake cable in my EJ and can't work out how to connect it to the intermediate section.

It snapped so I never saw it "in place"

Has anyone got pictures or advice?

Cheers,
Ash

Re: Twin carbies????

Yep I fitted them, did not try the carbs without.
I am using 46 main jets and the mixture is very good. (maybe very slightly rich, beats being lean though)

Re: Twin carbies????

I have just fitted twin Strombergs to my 132. (in an EJ)
I will say;

- Fitting them should be easy in theory but there are a number of traps which can make it a royal pain in the arse.

1) If you don't have reconditioned carbs then they could have any number of problems, magnified x 2.
2) If you do ...

Re: Rust Panel Needed

As long as the section isn't like tissue paper it might be easier just to patch up holes and make your own sections.

Craig Vayne does decent patch panels, unsure if he makes that section though.
