My car was hissing at me this morning due to a pinhole in the radiator tank, and by the look of things it's about to spring leaks in a few different spots.
Does anyone have a good radiator they wouldn't mind parting with? (not sure if it makes a difference, but EK manual sedan)
Thanks

Re: Coil hot and hissing and blowing fluid out...????
You were correct DR, swapped the points over and she fired up, seems the condenser is still ok.
Just gotta fine tune the point gap and we're rollin' again!!
Thanks again everyone for all the help.

Re: Coil hot and hissing and blowing fluid out...????
MeFB: as Bluehaze assumed, i don't have a ballast resistor so i think (AND HOPE!!) i have the correct coil now, thanks mate. Bluehaze: I really appreciate the informed response, it makes things much easier for me. However i do not have a multimeter, all i have is my little test light. I don't like t...

Re: Coil hot and hissing and blowing fluid out...????
MeFB: it's an EK mate, the previous owner changed the location of the coil. Yep, left the ignition on after i went out to get a cd out of the player  Seems it had the wrong coil to begin with, GT40R instead of GT40. So i went to Burson and replaced the coil (thanks Rob) but it still won't star...

Re: Coil hot and hissing and blowing fluid out...????
I just went out to have another look and the thing was almost on fire!!
Disconnected battery and all is ok now.
By the way it's a GT40 coil.

Coil hot and hissing and blowing fluid out...????
So i got to work this morning around 8:30-9:00ish... Three hours later i was out front having a smoke and heard a hissing noise coming from my car. I look over and there's fluid dripping out from underneath. I popped the bonnet and at first it appeared to be coming from the gearbox, but then i notic...

Re: Dash lights not working
Hey wb! I'm revisiting this post 'cos i'm having the same problem on a different car. So i pulled the switch out and had a look. This rheostat wire you speak of....is it the coiled wire (looks like a spring) that sits in a semi-circular channel in the porcelain piece? If so i assume that it's meant ...
