aiming headlights?
aiming headlights?
Is there some loose guideline to aiming headlights? I'm casting some very uneven patterns of light on the road......and footpath.....

Re: aiming headlights?
I just find a straight bit of road (back street) at night, cover one headlight over with a blanket/towel, adjust the headlight so its beam is where I want it on low beam/high beam, do the same with the other side.skin_dog wrote:Is there some loose guideline to aiming headlights? Final check I do is stand back a few feet directly in front of one headlight with the lights on and see where the beam is on your legs, then side step to the other side and see if it matches
You can "fine tune" your lights depending where you live, in my case anywhere out of the 60k zone kangaroos are a fact of life so my passenger side headlight on high beam is angled a bit more than normal to the left. (one day I'll get around to converting to H4's )
