Hi all,

Am about to pick up some HT rims from a guy for my EK sedan. Going to get the work done etc in Melbourne for them. Car is running HR F/E.

I have heard and read that HK and HT rims are different.

Now this guy has heaps of rims but I want to make sure I get HT not HK rims.

Does anyone know what the difference is, or does anyone have a pic of the difference.

Or I am guessing the offset is different, if so what is the original offset for a HT rim (5inches wide)

Hope someone can help

Cheers

Jason

Jason, the HK rims have 4 pairs of rectangular slots spaced around the outside of the centre. HT/G dont have these 8 slots and also have about
half an inch (??) more offset out.
For HR disc brake f/e, I think you will definitely need HT/G rims...
HK rims may fit drum brake HR f/e; I'm not sure
Better to get HT/G rims!
Hope this helps

OH! I run HT rims on both cars.
1, HR disc front with HT stubs
2, Stock king pin front with drums.

Who is doing your rims? Ajax did mine (EK with HT rims and the FB has HK rims) all of them got the offset changed and because of the condition of some I had to get new outers as-well, Trev 8) .

Was going to use Neway but can be convinced (easily) to use someone else.

Trev, I will send you a PM about another issue.

Cheers

Spose it all comes down to price, I've just always used Ajax.
What used to be a cheep way around wheels isn't so any more, the HK rims cost me around $550 for 5 rims, Trev 8) .

I would say that's an awesome price for 5 rims.

Does that include powder coating/painting?

No powder coating, just a quick spray with black paint.

All the rage now but years ago you would have been crazy to spend $100 on a set of stockies  , Trev 8) .
