thort id put up some pics of the project and my progress....i know how you all love pics....
when i got it
got the guards and other bits and peices off...
welded up all the hooks from the tonau cover...
bottom of one of the guards after i chopped it off...
and hey presto welded in the replacement panel..
i was suprised with how good everything lined up...
thats it so far...
im rather enjoying it at the moment...

rust cut out of bottom off door...
rust plated...

got the doors painted today....
it looks more red in these pics....but its not.

supposed to be a flat orange... im pretty sure it was called blood orange
so its prob looks how its sposed to haha

in the pics looks like red oxide but different computers different colours what are you going to do with the kinks in the 1/4's, as far as HT utes go it's pretty good but they stoped me but looking at yor work so far it should be ok

if yor only going the rat/flatpaint look why not knock them in and reshape with nikky that's what i was going to do, at a guess i'de say it's been rear ended so may be able to be pulled

what DR said in the pics the doors and guards look good
but DR having seen the ute it looks like it's had a whack up the bum and has like kinks above both rear wheel arches, it could be shonky repaired with some hammering and nikkying (it's what i thought of doing) which i wouldn't say is a bad way of fixing it just not the propper way if it were a resto or showy build

well this is my first project so in no way have i intended this to be showey....this will be my daily when its done....the sedan will be the showey one
but yeah...there is already bog in these 1/4's...(was already there when i got it)...so i think maby a bit more wont matter?????...well i dont kno might be more than a bit....but i really am stumped on any other way to go
