I am just trying to determine if it would by worth holding the nats in queensland or northen nsw as we seem to do every time we hold the event how many of you nice owners from down south would travel over the border to sunny queensland we are starting to search for our next location and wish to narrow it down to a nice place to hold it .
1 how far are you willing to travel
2 is it the drive
3 is it the nats
4 is this the time you have hollidays
5 do you like meeting up with like minded people
6 other reason

richard

ps the queensland club does not mind driving
pps i would like everyone to vote

Under the impression that Wintersun in Tweed/Coolongata is not 100% confirmed for 2011 anyway??
Wintersun being very much a family tradition for us now, it's one large reason we haven't made it to a Nationals yet due to the date clash.

Would be cool to see the Nats in QLD that's for sure.

My vote would be to take it to Fingal! Where Wintersun first started at darryls Sugar shack!!! But I'll drive anywhere for a good time!!

We don't mind travelling and we are as far south of South Australia that you can get. It is Queenslands turn so they should have it in Queensland.
We go to the nationals to enjoy the event and meet up with aquaintences and make new friends
Just our 2 bobs worth.
cheers

Well said. The travelling is half the fun..But next year ive only got 100k's to go to the Nats....so we are thinking of going via Melbourne.
So i would love to take the girls to queensland for a Holiday/ Nats adventure..Cheers Mark

Your club has the rite to have the Nationals were ever you want, I voted for QLD :D .
The Vic's had it in Victoria earlier this year, so if the QLD club don't mind driving how come there was about 3 QLD cars there? Pretty small club   , Trev 8) .

hi trev we are only a small club and i would have come on down and then we would of had four but i had work that i could not get out of we will be there the next two years i am just seeing how many of the other clubs members wold drive this far or do we hold it closer to you so its not so far for other people in your clubs to come and then hopefully get more cars to attend we also get to have a decent drive if we hold it closer to you .
even our club runs are between 1 and 10 cars but our meetings we get 30 people go figure i think we are alot like other clubs how many vicks turned up at your nats that were held 1 hour from Melbourne we have 3 to 4 spots picked but a few in our ranks think we should hold the nats in Brisbane .
I really enjoyed yamba but it was my first and i was one the commitee before i joined the club and have been secretary ever since and am now organizing 2011 nats with a few others and wish to make it an enjoyable gathering for all who come
sorry about my rant just trying to get some insight into where to pick and why

Not hangin shit, just sounded funny to me.
I have been to only 6 in a row and one thing I have learned is no matter where you hold it there will be between 65 and 70 cars turn up, don't know why it just happens  .
Hold it in QLD and the VIC people that don't come will be covered by the extra QLDers that will, and you will see a few more new faces that hopefully get hooked like me and my family :D , my kids often say when are we going to the car show again :D . I'm glad I bought them up with low expectations  .
Good luck with your decision and see you there :D , Trev 8) .

Fair go, Trev..........it's roughly a 4000km round trip for most Queenslanders to get to Bendigo  :D

I suppose it's always a hard decision by the respective states as to where to hold the nationals. On the one hand you want somewhere central to get a good turn out, though on the other it's your nationals so you hold them where you want 8)
