hello all,

new to your forum and holdens. i'm the fella who got this on ebay a few months ago, and yes, a bit pricey (more than my other three cars put together)... the listing was discussed a bit on here at the time.

what can i say, some kids got more dollars than sense.

here's the pics from the previous owner as on ebay:

got everything but the number plates and rac badges.
(p.o. wants to sell the plates if anyone's keen)

was advertised as being a many trophy winner - not sure what shows, anybody familiar with the car?

we've been going to a few shows around vic the last few years - john's picnic, kustom nationals, bright, chopped and regularly around places like rancho deluxe and kustom lane gallery. hope to take the ek out to a few of them this year. i'm a new daddy-o though, so we'll see how we go.

cheers,
- mikey.

:)

yeah, a lowering is in the plans. not sure how much yet... will have to read up here. how low do you go?

under the bonnet is original, down to the soup tin coil!

the interior's been retrimmed w/ layback front seat in a burgundy and grey weave vinyl.

other than that, there's a few bits and pieces i'd like to tidy up - (i need a plaque or something to cover up the old trailer socket next to the fuel filler) and slim some of those accessories down a bit i reckon...
i'll be taking off the towbar too, until we get a caravan and an engine to pull it!

the paint's metallic - terina red, not sure of the manufacturer.

first weekend of october's coming up pretty quick devilrod - ah well, whatever side of the fence it's on, it'll still be a good time! was ace last year.

fingers crossed.

 From the looks I'd say at least a two inch lowering, maybe more.It actually looks to me as if a previous owner has actually raised the suspension from standard height ??.

The towbar looks like a custom made one as most of the period Hayman Reese,Carousel etc towbar manufacturers made the bars so they fitted up underneath the bumper bar/beaver panel.

Looks like a well looked after car you've got there.

thanks FB_MAD.

it's pretty weird having to step UP into a car.

i reckon 3 inches would be a good start - having said that, it will be a conservative lowering... family car and all.

Mine doubles as daily driver/family weekend run car as kid seats don't fit in roadsters. My girls love bouncing around in ours... they think its fun

... need to get some stock width rims - it's got 205s on, which now rub at the back occasionally.

(should be at bright in a couple of weeks.)

another inch or so out of the front suspension would be good also  8) amazing how much a couple of little things can change the look of a car so much for the better in my opinion :)
