Red motor alternator

Post by hammondo »

I looking for an alternator to convert on to my grey motor, with internal regulator.

Let me know if you have one lying around which you would be happy to sell.

Thanks
Greg

If it's any help, the alternator on the grey out of my EK was out of a Sigma....... probably cheap as chips, it was a bosch unit with built in reg.

Just did this myself. Used the red six alternator which is also the same used for the early model commodores.
Brand new was $235 from repco.

You will need around a 15-17mm spacer for the bottom bolt to bring it square with the fan belt and an long (200mm) alternator adjustment arm.
