Mate go for the Toyota Supra IRS, its a bloody ripper. Before the cam change mine was running 158kws at the rear wheels on gas, so don't let anyone tell you they can't handle horsepower.

I,m running a shortened VN SS LSD (3.45:1 ratio) complete with disc brakes and a 4 link rear end, also have LH torrie frontend. Very happy with it and unless you are going to drag race all the time then it should last ok

It's ok Terry...... the Diff is a "genuine" NASCO item, complete with NASCO billet axles & NASCO brake pads

It all depends on how much punishment you give the car. I've seen some big horsepower Holdens and Fords with standard 10 bolts and borg warner diffs, and they've handled the power. Though these blokes weren't pulling burnouts from every set of traffic lights

I've also seen 9 inch diffs blow to pieces from too much abuse.

You're right Cal, but if they are pulling burnouts from every set of traffic lights then blowing the diff will be the least of their problems 'cause the car will be impounded and crushed under the new "Hooning Laws"     Soooo..... unless it is going on the dragstrip you could "get away" with the good ol' Bango's, unless your living on the edge

the borg warner like gary's would be ok if you don't want a spool get the 4 pin lim slip knew a guy that had one behind a blown 350 with a manual and couldn't break it when trying
saying this when starting from scratch if you don't have anything to start with and have to buy everything maybe a 9 inch, but this will also depend on how low you intend to have the back of the car 9 inches take up alot of space
