im fitting american racing torque thrusts to the ek.
I have a standard front end (kingpin) with torana disc brakes on it.
I also have an HR diff.

what kinda offset would fit alright, and does anybody know the offset of 13x6 cheviot hustlers?

can you get torque thrusts in early holden pattern sorry but i doubt you'll get the right offset

Don't know about the standard front end but HR disc front I always ask for the "HR disc front off set" , Trev .

J measure the backspace on the rims you took off the car at least its a start, then go from there.

Or place a straight edge (long steel rule or level) on the face of the drum where your rims sit, then measure out to the gaurd lip and back to the steering arms from the ege of the straight edge touching the drum. This should be more than enough to work out backspacing and clearance to the gaurd. You may have to make a few measurements around the gaurd to get a minimum cleareance. Sorry no pics to help.

J, you can download a backspace chart from the Rocket industries site, in their wheel section. It shows exactly where you have to measure to get all your specs for wheel measurements.

When I was looking for wheels to suit my car, I was under the impression that HR Disc and HR drum wheels were different.

I even had a photo, the hole was supposedly only on Disc brake wheels.


However after reading through the HR Workshop manual, it says that the HR only has ONE type of wheels for all models and types.

Also I thought that FB/EK and HR wheels could be swapped without issue on drum brake models ?
The wheels specs are the same in the EK Workshop manual.

Now I'm a bit confused.

the HR "discbrake" wheels are different as in pic, also don't know why but i put FB/EK wheels on a HR rear on the moss car and the wheels locked up HR disc rims no problem i was always lead to believe the rims were different but never had the problem before

Drums brake rims were in fact different, where the 4 slots are folded in the centre of the rim and facing rearward of the rim, the drum brake versions were squared off and protruded toward the centre slightly. This is the area of the rim that makes contact with the caliper. Whilst the disc brake rims were cut or pressed curved so there was no protrusion.

Hi J,
Just drive the EK to the Tyre/Mag shop and get them to do the measurements so they can supply the correct off set.
So does this mean I get my wheel nuts back soon?(and a set of Dragways for the FB Standard)
