Grey Pride, the annual combined run for early Holden clubs from Sydney, Canberra and in between is on again.

Grey Pride will be hosted this year by the FE-FC Holden Car Club of NSW. As always, it is on the 3rd Sunday in May (the week after Mothers' Day), at The Market Place in Berrima. Berrima is located in the Southern Highlands, and has many antique, craft and knick-knack shops, if you tire of checking out the 100 or so cars on display. There is also a variety of food available in the town, or stay close by and enjoy the sausage sandwiches and other delights available from the FE-HR Holden Owners' Club barbecue at the event.

A couple of changes this year you should be aware of:
  • * This year's event is a fundraiser for JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, as part of their May "Jelly Bean Month" drive. JDRF merchandise will be available for sale at the event, and we would ask that all entrants make a gold coin donation towards this very worthwhile cause.

    * Two entrants' choice trophies will be offered at the event, for the Most Popular Grey Powered and Most Popular Non-Grey Powered vehicles. Non-grey means modified early or non-grey powered later model
You can find more information at the FE-FC HCC NSW site, or download the official flier.

Come along and show your true colours by going Grey at Grey Pride on Sunday May 17.

Please let's not open that up again. The trophies are - and have always been - entrants' choice. Last year's result was unexpected, but hey, that was the decision of the participants.

You'll notice we've tweaked the awards this year so that there's one for a grey powered car and one for a non-grey powered. That second one can be an authentic later model vehicle, or a modified early: that's up to the entrants who cast their votes.

It should be good. Look forward to catching up with you Mark.

Can't wait....though I'm hoping it doesn't rain.

Is everyone from Sydney still meeting up at the Mobil on the Hume Hwy?

Yup, see the flier for all the details, but it's 9.30 for 10 at the Pheasants Nest Mobil for those from Sydney, 8.30 for 9 at the Shell Gateway servo at Watson for those from ACT.

Guys the fb ek car club of NSW supports this event as an offical run, and im a big fan of charity events, so ill be there, just gotta work out which car to take.

Cal you'll find that our club also meets at the phansents nest servo, at the advised times, so if you worry about the freeways speeds, dont get infront of me, ill run you over. Alot of the more mature member will be cruising much slower anyhow.

Thankyou ret for listing it on our forum, i must admit its something that we have overlooked, but are very keen on getting involved in.
