Specs?

Post by row1 »

Hey People!

I'm looking for the specs of an original FB.

Weight in particular, I can't find the weight on the net anywhere!

Does anyone know the dry weight of an FB?

Cheers

Pretty heavy I reckon
- Sorry, could'nt help myself.
My EK manual tells me an EK225 (special sedan) weighs 2490 lbs or 1129.44 kgs. I wold not like to guess if the FB is heavier or lighter, but the difference would have to be less than a tank of fuel.

Rowan,

I'm not sure about dry weights but the FB Holden Shop Manual states the following kerb weights:

FB/215: 2473 lbs
FB/225: 2494 lbs
FB/219: 2605 lbs
FB/229: 2627 lbs
FB/2104: 2559 lbs
FB/2106: 2479 lbs

Transmission weights (dry) are 374 lbs for engine/flywheel/clutch and 454 lbs for engine and transmission.

I hope these are of some help to you. I'll let you do the conversions (2.2 lbs to 1 kg)
