To remove fuel tank:

undo screwy things inside the boot...

take the plug off that connects to engine

yank the bitch outtt

actually, hold the yanking thought - do u lift the tank out? and how do you get the filleryuppery tube thingo out of the body?

Hi J did this a couple of months ago.
Drained the tank.
We cut the fuel sender wire before removing (hope that wasn't a mistake!) , remove the cap then the rubber on the outside from the 'filleryuppery tube thingo'.
Take the fuel line off and screws like you said.
And when you take it out - lift it up and out then towards the front of the car to get it clear.

Wasn't the smartest way. Undoing the nut on the sender which attaches the wire might have been a little bit more time consuming but will save having to rejoin the wires later! Also just at a guess why Holden out it there in the first place....

Hey J
Leave the tank in, your problem is elsewhere.
Possably the fuel sender or gauge itself.
Cheers

car came with a spare fuel tank so im putting that in,
the current one i think has some pin holes in the top.

The reason I am replacing the whole tank is because it looks like someone drove over a log. And the spare one doesnt look quite as bad...

1. They shouldn't be smoking or drinnking in the car anyway.
2. Use a 138, they go forever on the smell of an oily rag. (or fill up daily) The guages didn't work when they were new, so keep it standard.
