Modified EK wagon

Pretty much finished, only little things to go, trim, badges and rubbers.
Running HR front, HQ stubs, commodore discs, 16" chrome wheels, commodore rear mounted rack and pinion, collapsable column, tidy 186, 4 spd manual, cable accelerator, nolathane bushes everywhere, 4 door remote central locking, retractable belts right thru, new lights and lenses, a few other mods here and there, all done to make it a safe daily drive for the family. Resprayed orig castille green in 2 pac and snowcrest white roof. Pretty much all the suspension, brakes and steering are all new and improved, looks cool too...

Get ya own mags :) . Really nice ride mate.Mine started as a family cuiser as well, beware the "just a bit better" bug. You can actually make the tailgate remote locking as well,you just make a pin that the solenoid fires up into the handle mechanism(piggyback it to one of the rear door solenoid wires), works a treat.

Castillle Green is one of my favourite factory colours ( it nearly looks more of a lemony yellow sometimes ).

What size tyres are you running? Mine scrub as it is and your car looks a bit lower. I`m running 225/16/50 back, 205/16/50 fronts. The backs aren`t too bad but the fronts scrub whenever I brake hard.

Hey ekturbo, I like your taste in wheels!! I'm running 205x45s all round, gives the same rolling diameter as the orig 13's or near enough to, so keeps it a little lower. Since I'm running commodore discs and stud pattern the commodore offset tucks the wheels in more, esp at the back, there is actually room to go lower all round... I want to go dropped spindles to get the front even lower, but I can't get the rear any lower legally to match it so will just roll as is till I get a custom rear - 3 or 4 link, tubs, notched rails and probably airbags. I have a few other cars that eat time and money too so that might be a while away yet! Thanks for the tip for the lock on the tailgate, will do that when I have some time...

Its a kiwi personalised rego plate I used to have on one of my old wagons in NZ years ago... back when full word plates cost less than $400!

Ahhh the commodore offset must be different to the hq one, stud patterns the same but stud diameter is different.. Typical i went the wrong way :D Not about to change as I just bought 2 more of them for my street slicks. Price went up 200% since I bought the 1st four.I went for the crs 2" drop spindles and could go lower if the offset was in more.

NOPE.... HQ and commodore stud patterns are different by about 1.5mm on the PCD, studs are the same size just one is metric and the other is imperial.

48-215 (fx) - FJ: 5 on 162 mm (6.375")

FE - HR: PCD 5 on 107.95 mm (4.25"), Offset 6mm positive.
HK - HG: PCD 5 on 107.95 mm (4.25"), Offset 30 mm Positive (except HK and HT GTS which had an Offset of 13 mm Positive, HG GTS went to 30 mm Positive)

HQ - WB PCD: 5 on 120.65mm (4.75"), Offset 30 mm Towards the inside of the rim for standard offset wheels.

Torana LJ/LC, LX/LH: PCD 5 on 107.95mm (4.25"). Same stud pattern as HK-HG.

Torana LH with option L34 and LX with option A9X: PCD 5 on 120.65mm (4.75") with -1/4" Offset. Same stud pattern as HQ-WB with a different offset.

Commodores use a 5 on 120 mm (4.724") PCD. Very close to the HQ - WB PCD but not close enough. If you put Commodore wheels on an old Holden (or vice versa), you will break your studs and be overtaken by your own wheel...not a good look. :shock: :shock:

When measuring the stud centres you could also measure to the outside of both studs and subtract one stud diameter. (Thanks to Holdenpaedia)
