&*#@ 9"
Any one know how much oil go's in a &*#@ 9" open diff the car isn't level so I can't just fill it up to just below filler hole & I need to know how much to buy & what grade oil any help would be great
I've filled diffs up that are in the car when its not level and had no problems.A diff thats filled not level won't actually have a great deal of extra oil in it than one filled whilst level, probably only a 100 ml or so not enough to cause any real problems.Unless of course your car is jacked up at a 45 degree angle
I'd probably fill it to the filler hole anyway especially if its a dry fill as some of the oil will eventually travel along the axle tubes and stay in there.
Never had a 9 inch........ well...... a 9 inch &*#@ diff that is
but I'd guess about 2 litres or so of diff oil would just about do it.
I'd just use any quality brand 80/90 EP gear oil.

I can't think what to write here so this will do.
