Wipers

Post by artyfartymarty »

Can anyone pls shed some light on my problem with the wipers?

I have an FB with a red 6 and the wipers are electric single speed. i think it may be from EK. the problem is that, at anything over 40kmh, the left wiper gets pushed by the wind around the bend in the windscreen.
Under the dash i have nut and double bolt (to lock the nut) where the linkage connections/bushes need to located. i cant adjust the wiper any further as it will go down off the glass if i turn it any further on the mount.

Can anyone pls post a picture of how this assembly should look and where i can get the appropriate hardware required to fix this linkage problem.

My old ute used to do the same, I think you'll find its worn more than anything else. Use rainex then you should nearly be able to get away with out using the wipers at all. Just apply regularly.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Already use the stuff DevilRod,
The stuff works great on my other car and on my motorbike helmet but the FB screen is just so flat in the middle and rain just doesn't run off that well at FB speeds.
i thought if its quite an easy fix then i could actually use the wipers while moving rather than just at the lights. Could it be c's they're off an EK and have built fault?
