Yep well ever since the alternator was put on,
and ever since I got a new fan belt the EK has developed a new set of weird noises.

When idling it is normal, and quite peaceful with the gentle hum of the greybird. But under revs it produces some kind of squeak thing as displayed in the video below.

Please help identify the problem, I'm thinking the fan? fanbelt slipping?
who knows!

Its just slipping under load J , clean everything and tighten it a little more , and if that doesnt work try a little chalk on the inside of the belt .

But don't over tighten the fanbelt as you'll chew out the alternator bearings or worse the water pump.

J - have you checked the alinement of the alternator you just put in?

I spose you have - but it may be something that can be taken for granted..

Its gunna show up as a wear on your pully - it will wear to one side (bright shiny edge only on one side of the pully).
What bracket did you use to mount the alternator to your gray?

I could be all wrong here, but its just something that comes to mind.

I'm guessin that you just need to tighten up the belt - and DON'T overdoe it..
